CANFIELD -- The Beaver Local boys came out on top of Suburban League cross country action Tuesday at the Youngstown State University Course across from the Canfield Fairgrounds.
The Beavers topped the 10-team field with 48 points. McDonald was second with 96 points and Columbiana third with 97.
Luke Warrick led the Beavers with a second-place finish behind McDonald’s Owen Cappuzello.
The Beavers had three of the top nine runners with Mason Boggs in eighth and Cole Long in ninth.
McDonald topped the girls teams with 24 points. Poland was second with 102 points.
Top local runners were Columbiana’s Kaitlin Benner in fifth and United’s Ruby Marshall in seventh.
The Suburban League Championship will be held Tuesday at the Canfield Fairgrounds.
