WEIRTON, W.Va. -- Beaver Local split its varsity matches on Saturday against Weir High and Steubenville
The Beaver Local varsity defeated Weirton 22-25, 25-10, 25-13. Lily Schrieber led the Beavers with 12 kills, two aces, four assists and eight digs. Olivia Opalenik had four kills and four blocks, while Leah Schrieber and Addie Thurik each had three kills. Taylor Pease added 12 digs.
Beaver Local then fell to Steubenville, 25-21, 28-26. Schrieber had six kills, Opalenik five kills and a block, McKinley Ferry seven assists, four digs and an ace, Pease nine digs, and Schrieber three kills, two digs and four aces.
Beaver Local’s varsity falls to 4-2. The Beavers are scheduled to play at Brooke today.
The Beaver JV defeated Weirton 25-17, 22-25, 15-7. Lilly Jungfleisch had eight points, Macie Bourne six and Kylie Gbur five. The Beavers also defeated Steubenville 25-12, 25-23. Jungfleisch had 13 points, Ella Watson seven, Daisy McKnight five and Maddie Gaydos four.

LISBON -- Steubenville Central beat Lisbon 25-23, 25-17, 20-25, 25-18 on Saturday.
Alayna Householder led Lisbon with 12 kills, followed by Addison Anderson with eight, Gionna Lenigar with six kills and two blocks and Lilly Lipply with five kills and two blocks. Bridget Newbold had 16 assists. Hannah Davis led the defense with 16 digs, while Ariel Smith and Lexi Roush each had 10.
Lisbon (2-5) will host Southern on Tuesday.
Central won the jayvee portion 14-25, 25-18, 25-19.
Gracyn Owens had seven kills, two aces and 13 assists for Lisbon. Ella Cochran added four kills, two aces and 10 assists, Sydney Tremnel had six kills and Kyler Malone had four aces.
