ATWATER -- Carson Barber scored two goals in leading the Crestview boys soccer team past Waterloo, 6-1, Wednesday.
The Rebels improve to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Tier.
Danny Novak also had one goal and two assists. Carson Crable, Jaden Moore and Arthur Gelbecke added goals. Sawyer Zuch had an assist.
Riley Mercer made eight saves in goal.
Crestview will play at Liberty on Monday.
SALEM 1, CARROLLTON 0
CARROLLTON -- The Salem girls are holding onto first place in the Eastern Buckeye Conference after a 1-0 win over Carrollton on Wednesday.
Salem improves to 8-4 overall and 4-0 in the EBC, tied with West Branch for the top spot.
Carrollton has lost eight of its last nine matches to drop to 5-8 and 0-4 in the EBC.
Salem will host Girard on Monday.
WEST BRANCH 4, ALLIANCE 0
BELOIT -- The West Branch girls soccer team posted its sixth straight shutout in a 4-0 win over Alliance on Wednesday.
West Branch improves to 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference, tied with Salem for first place.
Caiden Schroader had one goal and one assist to lead the Warriors. Bri Clark, Elli Colian and Alinee Bacconi also scored goals. Ellie Tucker had two assists and Cambrie Nezbeth one.
Alliance drops to 4-9 and 2-2 in the NBC.
West Branch will host Poland on Saturday with the JVs at 10 a.m. and varsity at 11:30 a.m.
JFK 6, UNITED 0
HANOVERTON -- The United girls soccer team was shut out for the first time this season, falling 6-0 to Warren JFK on Wednesday.
Warren JFK improves to 7-3. JFK has outscored its last five opponents a combined 38-1.
United lost for the second time in three matches to move to 9-3-1.
United will play Wheeling Central in the OVAC Class 1-3A championship match at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wheeling Island Stadium. Wheeling Central beat United 10-0 last season.
