ORWELL -- East Palestine’s volleyball team fell to Grand Valley 25-23, 25-21, 25-16 on Wednesday.
East Palestine is 1-1 and host Liberty on Monday.
SALEM 3, FIELD 1
MOGADORE -- Abby Knickerbocker had 27 kills, while Macy Pieniazek added 13 kills in Salem’s four set win over Field on Wednesday.
Kenna Mayhew added 11 digs. Macey Troy had 23 assists. Ila Lee added 19 assists and five digs.
Salem’s jayvees won 25-11, 25-20. Avary Williams had five aces and four kills.
Salem hosts Howland today.
AUSTINTOWN 3, WEST BRANCH 0
AUSTINTOWN -- Austintown Fitch bested West Branch 25-22, 25-23, 25-15 on Tuesday.
Madi Hoopes had 12 kills and three blocks for West Branch. Ellyana Biskup and Aislyn Ring had seven digs each. Ring also had 26 assists.
West Branch is at New Philadelphia today.
HEARTLAND 3, LISBON 1
LISBON -- Heartland’s volleyball team opened with a 18-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20 win over Lisbon on Tuesday.
Heartland hosts Columbiana on Saturday. Lisbon is at East Palestine on Tuesday.
