QUAKERS FALL ON THE ROAD
ALLIANCE -- Marlington defeated Salem 174-191 in a boys golf match Friday at Tannenhauf.
Donald Blackburn led Salem with a 42, followed by Gabe Leek with a 45, Eli James 48 and Caden Arcuri 56.
Marlington was led by Brock M. with a 42. Ben Warner shot 43, Teagan Hoffman 44 and Tyler Heatherington 45.
Salem is 3-6 overall and 1-5 in league play. The Quakers will host Marlington on Tuesday at Salem Hills.
CLIPPERS WIN COUNTY INVITE
SALEM -- Columbiana senior Maddie Jackson took medalist honors with an 80 on Thursday at the Columbiana County Girls Invitational at Salem Hills.
Claire Banner was second with an 88, while Beaver Local’s Mya Anderson was third with an 89.

BROOKFIELD BESTS REBELS
CALCUTTA -- Brookfield defeated Crestview 153-178 in a boys golf match Thursday at Beaver Creek Meadows.
Crestview was led by Derek Duvall with a 41. Grant Snyder shot 42, Hunter Panezott 46 and Logan Neff 49.
Brookfield was paced by Joseph Hook with a 37. Cody Davidson and Jared Germadnik each shot 38, while Michael Pisarcik carded a 40.
Crestview will host Newton Falls on Monday at Beaver Creek Meadows.
