OAK GLEN FACES ELIMINATION
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. -- It’s do or die for the Oak Glen baseball team.
The Golden Bears will play a Class AA, Region 1 elimination game at 5 p.m. today at Williamstown.
The Bears (12-20) and Yellow Jackets faced off in the tournament opener on Monday with the Bears coming away with a 5-3 win. Oak Glen lost 10-0 to Doddridge County on Tuesday in a winner’s bracket game.
The winner of Williamstown and Oak Glen will have to beat Doddridge twice to advance to the state tournament.
SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT
UNITY -- The Southern Local at Heartland Christian Division VII sectional tournament baseball game scheduled for Wednesday was rained out.
The game will be played at 5 p.m. today at Ace of Diamonds.
