ST. CLAIRSVILLLE — Braxton Hickman’s RBI double with one out in the seventh led Beaver Local to a 4-3 win over St. Clairsville in the Buckeye 8 fifth-place baseball game Wednesday. Aiden Dray added two hits for the winners.

AJ Bowser was the winning pitcher with a walk and two strikeouts in three innings.

Beaver Local is 14-9 and is at Weir on Tuesday.

AUSTINTOWN — Columbiana managed just two hits in a 10-0 loss to Austintown Fitch in baseball action Wednesday.

Avery Young and Hunter Davanzo had hits for the Clippers.

Jackson Davis was the losing pitcher with five walks and a strikeout in four innings.

Columbiana is 9-10 and will host United in a key Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference game today.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Williamstown blanked Oak Glen 6-0 on Wednesday in prep baseball action.

Cam Carter led the Bears with a double. Noah Willey took the loss with nine strikeouts and four walks in 6 1/3 innings. Oak Glen is 9-16 and is at Bellaire today.

TORONTO — Toronto’s Maddie Asafailo had four strikeouts and three walks over seven innings in leading the Red Knights to a 7-1 win over East Liverpool in softball action Wednesday. Kylee Evans had two hits for the Potters.

Tatum Fink was the losing pitcher with 12 strikeouts and two walks over six innings.

East Liverpool is 9-17 and hosts Wellsville on Friday.
