Lisbon turns out the lights

STRUTHERS — It was a short outing for Lisbon at Cene Park on Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils scored 15 runs in the second inning to overcome Chaney 20-0 in three innings.

Ashton Hinchliffe had three hits and an RBI for the winners. Bryce Esarey had a double, triple and two RBIs.

Brady Carpenter was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts and a walk in two innings.

Lisbon is 5-5 and hosts East Canton today.

Crestview 3, Champion 0

WARREN — Grant Snyder and Kyle Booth combined for a five-hit shutout as Crestview topped Champion 3-0 on Tuesday.

Snyder was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and a walk in five innings. Booth got the save as he went two innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Eli Cope, Isaac Unkefer and Booth had singles for the Rebels.

Crestview (7-5, 6-4 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division) is at Lisbon today.

Beaver Local 19, United 2

HANOVERTON — Beaver Local blasted 13 hits to down Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference leader United 19-2 in five innings on Tuesday.

Braxton Hickman had two doubles, a single and four RBIs. Peyton Martin had a double and single, while Jett Johnson had two hits and an RBI. AJ Bowser had a double and an RBI. Aiden Dray had two hits and an RBI.

Paxton Grimes, who had two hits and an RBI, was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts and five walks.

Wyatt Swanson had a double for United.

Jason Pratt was the losing pitcher with five walks and two strikeouts in two innings.

Beaver Local (10-6) hosts Minerva on Friday.

United (8-4) will be at East Liverpool today.

BRISTOLVILLE — Heartland Christian was firing on all cylinders in a 14-6 win over Bristol on Tuesday.

Hudson Miller had a single, double and four RBIs for the Lions. Jack Morgan added a double, single and two RBIs. Jacob Goehring added a single and double with an RBI.

Alex Hamilton was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts, no walks and one earned run.

Heartland is 4-6 and is at Liberty today.

Oak Glen 15, East Liverpool 0

EAST LIVERPOOL — Oak Glen’s Sam Jenkins cracked a home run and added a double with three RBIs in the Golden Bears’ 15-0 win over East Liverpool on Tuesday.

Noah Willey had a double, single and two RBIs. He was also the winning pitcher with five strikeouts and no walks in four innings.

Carstin Suznevich had the only hit for East Liverpool. He was also the losing pitcher as he was chased after a third of an inning with two walks, a strikeout and six earned runs.

Oak Glen is 6-11 and hosts Toronto today. East Liverpool is 2-14 and hosts United today.

Carrollton 11, Salem 1

CARROLLTON — Carrollton’s 8-run sixth inning doomed Salem in an 11-1 win over the Quakers on Tuesday.

Braydon Van Dyne had two hits for the Quakers.

Brady Hendricks took the loss with five strikeouts, no walks and two earned runs in five innings.

Caden Husted earned the win with five strikeouts and three walks in six innings.

Salem fell to 1-11 and 0-5 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

The Quakers will host Carrollton today.

Alliance 6, West Branch 4

BELOIT — Alliance scored six runs in the sixth inning to take control in a 6-4 win over West Branch on Tuesday.

Jeremiah Thomas led the Warriors with a triple, two singles and an RBI. He was also the losing pitcher with four strikeouts, two walks and six strikeouts.

West Branch is 5-6 overall and 1-3 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference and will be at Alliance today.
