Bears get first victory
Leetonia 9, Sebring 6
LEETONIA — Leetonia’s softball team broke into the win column with a 9-6 victory over Sebring on Friday.
Carli Simms had two hits and an RBI for the Bears, 1-15. Hayley Davis added two hits and an RBI.
Laniya Dubose got the win with four strikeouts and no walks in seven innings.
Leetonia is at Columbiana on Monday.

East Canton 10, Lisbon 5
LISBON — Lisbon’s softball team suffered a 10-5 loss to East Canton on Friday.
Sofia Brown had four hits including a double with two RBIs for the Devils. Emelia Cook and Kamryn Peruchetti had two hits.
Lexi Roush had five strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.
Lisbon is 4-11 and is at Southern on Monday.

Marlington 15, Salem 0
ALLIANCE — Marlington clubbed Salem 15-0 on Friday in five innings.
Shae Burkhart had two hits for Salem. Hadley Carlisle had a double.
Morgan Colian took the loss with two strikeouts and no walks in four innings.
Salem is 2-7 and is at Poland today.

Lakeview 11, West Branch 1
BELOIT — Mackenzie Stowe hit a home run with four RBIs to lead Lakeview past West Branch 11-1 on Friday.
Zoey Carreon had a triple and RBI for the Warriors, while Carly Loper had two hits.
Maylin Hartzell was the losing pitcher as she had three walks and no strikeouts in four innings of work.
West Branch (6-8) hosts Southeast on Saturday.

Harrison 4, Oak Glen 0
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen is the defending OVAC Class 4A softball champions and might be out of this year’s tournament after a 4-0 loss to Harrison Central on Friday.
Oak Glen (14-8) was sitting in fourth place in the OVAC Class 4A standings at the beginning of the week, but the Bears have dropped three out of their last four games.
Harrison (14-8) was in fifth place, but went 2-2 this week. Official pairings will be announced over the weekend, but the No. 4 seed will play No. 1 Beaver Local on Tuesday at I-470 Complex.
Edison and Weir High were in contention for the second and third seeds.
Kylie Robinson led the Bears with a double against the Huskies.
Mattie Carney struck out nine and walked two in seven innings for Oak Glen.
