Rudibaugh rolls with the best at state

COLUMBUS — East Liverpool senior Lani Rudibaugh had her best day of the 2026 bowling tournament trail Saturday.

She finished 29th at the Ohio Division II girls state bowling tournament with a 504 series at H.P. Lanes.

Rudibaugh had games of 188-141-175. She was ninth at the sectional tournament.

Coldwater featured the top two finishers.

Senior Brittany Burden won the individual state title in her first state berth with a 640 series (198-229-213). Junior teammate Rachel Moeller was second with a 621 series (180-239-202).

Struthers senior Maddie Marshall was 73rd with a 432 series (128-162-142).

Freshman Carrie Hawk topped Carrollton by placing 32nd with a 501 series (164-155-182).

Carrollton senior Kaylee Russell, the 2014 Ohio Division II state champion, was 78th with a 392 series after placing 48th last year.

The Carrollton girls team qualified for state for the season in a row and finished 13th with a 2,187 series. Napoleon had a high series of 2,715 on the way to a state championship.

Napoleon (192-192-189) swept the baker games from Coldwater (132-165-144) in the championship match.

Napoleon captured its first team title after three state runner-up finishes the previous 11 years.

Coldwater was in the championship match for the ninth time in school history, which includes five state titles.

The 102 Division II girls state bowlers averaged 161.0 per game.

The Division I state tournament will be held this week at H.P. Lanes with the boys on Friday and the girls on Saturday.
