NEWTON FALLS — Crestview rallied to score nine runs in the seventh to best Newton Falls 11-6 in softball action Wednesday.

Aliva Shetler had four hits and an RBI for the winners. Gia Depace had three hits including a double with two RBIs. Rylee Cloutier had three hits. Lilly Beaver had two hits and an RBI. She was also the winning pitcher with no walks and no strikeouts in three innings.

Crestview (1-1) hosts Newton Falls today.

Beaver Local at Buckeye Local

RAYLAND — Beaver Local scored a pair of wins over Buckeye Local in a double header on Wednesday.

In the first game Beaver Local won 3-1. Brylee Curtis had a triple, single and an RBI. Macie Bourne had a double and RBI.

Mya Anderson was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts and a walk in 5 2/3 innings.

In the second game Beaver won 6-0. Addie Thurik got the win with seven strikeouts in three innings.

Curtis homered and had two RBIs. Ally Wright had three hits and two RBIs.

Beaver Local (2-1) hosts Minerva today.

CARROLLTON — A day after scoring 30 runs in its opener, the Lisbon softball team suffered a 14-0 loss to Carrollton in five innings.

Emilee Shepard and Reagan Schneiders combined for a no-hitter and nine strikeouts for the Warriors.

Lisbon is 1-1 and is at Toronto today.

Kamryn Peruchetti took the loss for Lisbon with five walks and a strikeout in two innings.

Girard 15, United 5

GIRARD — United saw an early 4-1 lead disappear as Girard struck with 14 runs in the fourth inning to top the Golden Eagles 15-5 in five innings on Wednesday.

Josie Wargo had three hits including a triple for the Eagles, 0-1. Payten Kekel added two hits.

Madison Aegerter took the loss with two strikeouts and a walk in three innings of work.

Quinn Wilster led Girard with four hits and two RBIs.

United is at Poland on Saturday.

UNITY — East Palestine swept the season series from Southern Local with a 9-7 win over the Indians on Wednesday.

Aliviana Valingo led the winners with two hits and two RBIs. Emma Gingher had a hit and three RBIs.

Kennedy Andre got the win with seven strikeouts and four walks in seven innings.

Southern (0-2) was led by Makenna Jones three hits including a double. Lidia Spahlinger added a single, double and two RBIs. Aubree Pucci had three hits and two RBIs.

LEETONIA — Wellsville’s softball team scored a sweep of Leetonia with a 13-3 win over the Bears in seven innings on Wednesday.

Wellsville is 2-0, while Leetonia fell to 0-2.

Makayla Landess had five hits including three double and three RBIs for the winners. Rylee Brown had three hits and an RBI. Madelyn Landess had two hits and two RBIs. Madilynn Drysdale had two hits and three RBIs.

Madelyn Landess was the winner pitcher with 11 strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.

Payton Gray had two hits including a home run for Leetonia. Carli Simms had a triple and Aubree Anderson added a double.

Aubrey Ellis-Russell was the losing pitcher with four walks and two strikeouts over two innings of work.

Leetonia hosts Southern on Monday. Wellsville is at Toronto on Friday.

YOUNGSTOWN –Salem’s softball team couldn’t get anything going in a 6-0 loss to Ursuline on Wednesday at Youngstown State.

BRIDGEPORT — Bridgeport downed East Liverpool 7-4 on Wednesday in softball action.

For East Liverpool, Rayne Faessel had two hits including a triple. Addie Jones had two hits and Meadow O’Rourke had a double.

Tatum Fink got the loss with six strikeouts and three walks.

East Liverpool (0-1) is at Southern today.

STEUBENVILLE — Brayley Lash and Macy Hartung had two hits but Oak Glen fell to Steubenville 6-1 on Wednesday.

Danica Holden took the loss for the Bears with four strikeouts and a walk in 3 1/3 innings.
