West Branch 30, Carrollton 27
BELOIT -- The West Branch girls can't be beat in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
West Branch captured its third straight EBC title with a 30-27 victory over Carrollton on Saturday.
West Branch has won 30 straight league games and have 18 league titles in the last 31 years.
Carrollton led 5-2 in the first quarter, but West Branch held the scoring edge in each of the last three quarters for the victory.
West Branch improves to 15-2 overall and 9-0 in the EBC and will close out league play at Salem on Wednesday.
Carrollton drops to 12-6 overall and 7-2 in league play, good for second place. Marlington is third at 5-4.
Carrollton wraps up league play at Minerva on Wednesday.

Marlington 43, Salem 40
SALEM -- Marlington built a 10-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and held off Salem for a 43-40 win Saturday.
Bailee Pietz scored 11 points and Shelby Odey added 10 in the winning effort.
Marlington improves to 7-8 overall and 5-4 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. Salem moves to 10-8 and 4-5 in the EBC.
The Quakers were led by Abby Knickerbocker with 11 points and Maddy Andres with 10. Karlie Sampson collected nine points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Salem won the two-quarter junior varsity game, 36-11. The Quakers were led by Ava Lee with 14 points and Shae Burkhart with 13 points.
Salem will host West Branch on Wednesday with the junior varsity game starting at 5:30 p.m.

Edison 54, Oak Glen 48
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. -- Edison tied a school record for consecutive wins in a season as the Wildcats improved to 16-0 by beating Oak Glen, 54-48, Saturday.
Abby Carpenter scored 25 points and Sophia Henderson 20 to spark the Wildcats.
Edison also won the junior varsity game, 48-18, as Bella Cronin scored 14 points.
Both teams are scheduled to play Monday as Oak Glen (8-5) travels to East Liverpool and Edison hosts Cameron (W.Va.)
