Salem, West Branch girls picks up EBC wins
MINERVA — Peyton Colbert paced Salem’s girls basketball team with 15 points in a 41-22 win over Minerva on Wednesday in Eastern Buckeye Conference girls basketball action.
Maddy Andres added 11 points for Salem (10-5, 4-3 in the EBC).
Rachel Benedict had 10 points for Minerva, 2-13, 1-6.
Salem won the jayvee portion, 24-11. Shae Burkhart had 13 points for the winners.
Salem will host Ursuline on Saturday.

ALLIANCE — West Branch’s girls basketball team bounced Marlington 45-41 on Wednesday to remain in first place in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
The Warriors are 13-1 overall and 7-0 in the EBC.
Marlington fell to 5-8 and 3-4 in the EBC.
West Branch will play Magnificat at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Classic in the Country.
