Quakers stay busy in victory over Crestview
COLUMBIANA — Salem’s boys basketball team bounced Crestview 48-44 on Saturday.
Owen Davidson paced Salem with 13 points and six rebounds. Ty Manion added 10 points, three rebounds and three assists. Deontay Steele had 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Salem is 2-6 and hosts Marlington on Friday.
Crestview (4-6) was led by Elijah Cope’s 20 points.

WELLSVILLE — Gavin Geisse had 16 points and Will Weekley added 12 points in Oak Glen’s 56- 49 boys basketball win over Wellsville on Saturday.
Jeron Jackson paced Wellsville with 13. Darnell Roe added 12 points.
Oak Glen is 4-2 and hosts St. Marys on Friday.
Wellsville is 3-7 and is at Columbiana on Tuesday.
Oak Glen won the jayvee game, 38-31.
Jacob Everett had 14 points for the Bears.

BELOIT — Jace Riccardo, a former Beaver Local student, had 20 points to lead Canfield to a 57-47 win over West Branch on Saturday.
For West Branch, Gavin Gregory had 17 points and eight rebounds. Kasen Weaver added 11 points, while JEremiah Thomas had 10 points, three assists and three steals.
West Branch (3-5) hosts Howland on Tuesday.

EAST CANTON — Southern Local found it hard going in a 53-21 loss to East Canton on Saturday.
Aiden Davis led the Indians with 13 points. Jack Pitts chipped in nine rebounds. Southern (1-7) shot just 19 percent from the floor.
The Indians host United on Tuesday.

CALCUTTA — Carrollton’s boys basketball team ended Beaver Local’s season in the tournament nearly a year ago.
On Saturday, the Warriors were back at it against the Beavers and offered up a 67-58 win.
Beaver Local fell to 8-2, having lost two out of its last three.
The Beavers will be at Indian Creek on Tuesday for the first of five straight Buckeye 8 Athletic League games.
Carrollton is 6-2.
Springfield 63, Leetonia 22
LEETONIA — Springfield prevented Leetonia from scoring in double digits in every quarter to preserve a 63-22 win on Saturday.
Leetonia fell to 2-8 and hosts East Palestine on Tuesday.
Springfield is 7-3.

Heartland 90, Lisbon 66
COLUMBIANA — Collin Kalaher pumped in 30 points as Heartland rolled to a 90-66 win over Lisbon on Saturday.
The Lions are 10-0 and will be at Lake Center Christian on Tuesday.
Lisbon fell to 6-3.
Isaiah Matthews chipped in 14 points for the Lions and Corban Seutia added 12 points.
A.J. Ramgeet had 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Devils. Blaine Barnes had 15 points. Ashton Hinchliffe picked up seven boards.
Lisbon won the jayvee game, 61-54. Cooper Terdina had 15 points for Lisbon. Evan Stambaugh had 17 points for Heartland.
Lisbon will be at Valley Christian on Tuesday.
