Lisbon 49, Valley Christian

YOUNGSTOWN — Lylah Brown scored 18 points and Lisbon jumped out to an 11-1 lead in a 49-33 win over Valley Christian on Monday.

The Blue Devils improve to 7-6 overall and 4-4 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Eagles drop to 4-5 and 3-5 in league play.

Na’ariyah Graham topped Valley with 17 points

Both teams return to league play Thursday with Lisbon hosting Leetonia and Valley entertaining Columbiana.

Columbiana 69, Wellsville 10

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s girls basketball team posted a 69-10 win over Wellsville on Monday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Eva Rapp had 16 points, while Tori Waselich added 13 points.

Columbiana (11-2, 8-1) is at Valley Christian on Thursday.

Wellsville is 0-12 and is at United on Thursday.

East Palestine 37, Leetonia 19

LEETONIA — East Palestine captured its third straight win by downing Leetonia, 37-19, in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play Monday.

The Bulldogs improve to 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the EOAC, while the Bears drop to 1-8 and 1-7 in league play.

Jacklyn Ogle totaled a game-high 19 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Bulldogs. Destiney Burtyk collected eight points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

Leetonia will play at Heartland on Wednesday, while East Palestine hosts Southern on Thursday.

LIBERTY — Crestview held Liberty to single digits in every quarter for a 67-27 victory Monday.

The Rebels improve to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the MVAC Gray Tier, while the Leopards lost their sixth in a row to drop to 2-6 and 1-4 in league play.

Addison Rhodes scored a game-high 25 points, including 14 in the first quarter when the Rebels built a 21-6 lead.

Ava Bucey collected 11 points. Karli Perry and Brianna Baker each had nine points.

Crestview won the junior varsity game 21-9 in two quarters. Lilli Neese led the Rebels with eight points and Lainey Milhoan added seven.

Liberty will play at McDonald on Wednesday, while Crestview travels to Ravenna Southeast on Friday.

YOUNGSTOWN — Junior Alyssa Brown scored 34 points and outscored Salem herself to give Youngstown Chaney a 55-31 win Monday.

Chaney improves to 7-3, while Salem moves to 8-4.

Abby Knickerbocker paced Salem with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Peyton Colbert had nine points and six rebounds

There was no junior varsity game.

Salem will play at West Branch on Wednesday, beginning with the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m.
