SALEM — Abby Knickerbocker had 16 points and 10 rebounds as Salem pulled away for a 46-26 win over Minerva on Wednesday in Eastern Buckeye Conference play. Maddy Andres added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Salem is 5-0 and 2-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference. Minerva is 0-5 and 0-2.
The Quakers host Carrollton on Saturday.
Salem won the jayvee portion, 17-11. Ava Lee had 12 points.

BELOIT — West Branch scored the first 16 points of the game in rolling over Marlington 47-13 on Wednesday in girls Eastern Buckeye Conference play.
West Branch is 5-0 and 2-0 in the EBC.
Marlington did not score in the second quarter and trailed 28-2 at the half.
West Branch won a jayvee game against Streetsboro 57-27.
The Warriors will be at Alliance on Saturday.

Lisbon 61, Wellsville 25
WELLSVILLE — Lisbon’s girls basketball team got back on track with a 61-25 win over Wellsville on Wednesday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Lisbon is 5-2 and 3-1 in the conference. Lisbon had lost two straight coming into the contest.
Lisbon is at United on Monday.
Wellsville is 0-6 and 0-3 in the EOAC. Wellsville is at Valley on Monday.
Jayden Smyth led the Devils with 14 points and six steals. Lylah Brown added 12 points and seven rebounds. Bridgett Newbold had seven rebounds and four assists.
For Wellsville, Kenzie Bosco had eight points.

Rebels roll McDonald
NILES –Crestview’s boys bowling team posted a 2,102-1,247 win over McDonald on Wednesday at McKinley Lanes.
For the Rebels, Lucas Johnson had a 231 high game and a 384 series. Brody Brubaker (348), Milton Scott (334) and Peyton Mellott (333) all had strong series for the Rebels.
Wellsville burns Devils
WARREN — Wellsville’s bowling team carded a 1,966-1,630 win over Lordstown on Wednesday at Freeway Lanes.
Cameron Taylor had a 208 high game and a 357 series for the Tigers. Makayla Landess added a 181 high game and a 362 series. Madelyn Landess posted a 166 high game and a 316 series.
Quakers in control
SALEM — Salem’s boys bowling team recorded a 2,075-1,945 win over Marlington on Wednesday at Hunt Club Lanes.
Vinnie Yannucci had a 193 high game and a 376 series for the Quakers. Donald Blackburn added a 232 high game and a 375 series. Tanner James tallied a 174 high game and a 346 series.
The Quaker girls team was a 1,596-1,352 winner.
Brooklyn Herold had a 204 high game and a 364 series for Salem. Kylie Smith added a 172 high game and a 322 series. Nora Shean had a 172 high game and a 321 series.
