Marlington 46, Salem 35

ALLIANCE — Marlington outscored Salem 18-4 in the fourth quarter and rallied for a 45-36 win in Eastern Buckeye Conference play Wednesday.

The Dukes won their third in a row to improve to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the EBC. Salem moves to 5-2 and 2-1 in the EBC.

Bailee Pietz scored a game-high 15 points for the Dukes. Marissa Walter scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Abby Knickerbocker topped the Quakers with 12 points. Karlie Sampson had six rebounds and five assists

Salem won the junior varsity game, 51-30. Shae Burkhart led the Quakers with 17 points. Liv Lewis and Noa Martin each had 12 points.

Salem will play at Girard on Saturday beginning with the junior varsity game at noon, while Marlington travels to New Philadelphia on Monday.

West Branch 44, Carrollton 41

CARROLLTON — West Branch defeated Carrollton, 44-41, in a battle of Eastern Buckeye Conference leaders Wednesday.

West Branch improves to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the EBC, one game ahead of Carrollton and Salem.

Carrollton drops to 6-3 and 3-1 in the EBC.

West Branch will play at Norton on Monday, while Carrollton travels to Steubenville on Tuesday.

Oak Glen 55, East Liverpool 22

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen raced to a 37-7 halftime lead and beat East Liverpool, 55-22, Wednesday.

The Golden Bears improve to 3-1, while the Potters drop to 2-6.

East Liverpool will host Beaver Local today, while Oak Glen entertains Weir on Monday.

Newton Falls 40, Leetonia 28

LEETONIA — Newton Falls got back on the winning track by topping Leetonia, 40-28, Wednesday.

The Tigers were coming off a 61-14 loss to unbeaten Crestview on Monday.

Newton Falls improves to 3-5, while Leetonia drops to 0-6.

Both teams play tonight with Leetonia visiting Wellsville and Newton Falls hosting Garrettsville Garfield.

Toronto 55, Wellsville 31

WELLSVILLE — Wellsville scored a season high, but dropped a 55-31 decision to Toronto on Wednesday.

Wellsville (0-8) will host Leetonia tonight, while Toronto (3-6) play at Bridgeport tonight.
