COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s girls basketball team secured a key 34-24 win over United in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play on Monday.

The Clippers are 5-1 and 3-0 in the EOAC. United is 1-4 and 1-2 in the EOAC.

Evy Rapp posted 13 points for the winners, while Annah Clemmer had 11 points. Maelee Smith had eight points and four rebounds for the Eagles. Reagan Good added eight points and six rebounds.

United won the jayvee game 12-7. Danika Anderson had four points for the Eagles.

United hosts East Palestine on Thursday. Columbiana is at Leetonia on Thursday.

LISBON — Southern Local’s girls basketball team is looking like a real challenger for the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title.

The Indians dominated Lisbon 74-14 on Monday to move to 6-0 and 3-0 in the league.

Katie Kellogg had 25 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and seven steals to lead the winners, while Allyssa Shroades added 11 points and 10 steals. Maddy Jones had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kalayah Crute added 10 points and eight boards.

Lisbon falls to 4-2 and 2-1.

Lylah Brown had five points and five rebounds for the Devils.

Southern hosts Valley Christian on Thursday.

The Devils are at Wellsville on Wednesday.

COLUMBIANA — Addison Rhodes scored 19 points in Crestview’s 29-point first quarter, which was enough to beat Ravenna Southeast, 70-26, in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Tier play Monday.

Crestview improves to 4-0, while Southeast drops to 4-1.

The Rebels led 29-11 in the first quarter and 49-15 by halftime.

Rhodes posted a triple-double with a game-high 34 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals along with four assists.

Brianna Baker followed with 10 points and seven rebounds and Ava Bucey added 10 points. Kerrigan Miller made three steals.

Crestview also won the two-quarter junior varsity game, 27-22. Katie MacKay scored eight points and Karli Perry seven for the Rebels.

Crestview will play at Garrettsville Garfield on Thursday.
