Kinsey at top of class
HUNTSMAN, Utah — The trip was worth it for Collin Kinsey of Lisbon.
Kinsey brought home three medals from the 2025 World Track and Field Senior Games, which includes over 2,000 athletes ages 50-and-over from Oct. 6-8.
A 1994 graduate of Wellsville High School and former Kent State University All-American, Kinsey showed he is still at the top of his class.
In the ages 50-54 division, he took the gold medal in the shot put by 3 feet (39-feet-9 1/4) and discus (124-3) and the silver medal in the javelin (145-4).
As a senior at Wellsville, he qualified for the Division III state track and field meet in four events in 1994. He placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles (14.96 seconds), sixth in the long jump (21-0 1/2), sixth in the pole vault (13-0) and also competed in the discus.
Kinsey is the director of operations at the Spread Eagle Tavern in Hanoverton.
