WHEELING, W.Va. — Oak Glen swept a pair of matches Wednesday at Wheeling Central, defeating St. Maryás and the host Maroon Knights.

The Golden Bears opened with a 25-6, 25-12 win over St. Maryás. Averi Martin led with nine kills, while Brayley Lash had seven, Brooklyn Six added six and Haylee Stewart chipped in five. Mikalyn Balch handed out 24 assists. Keira Vick anchored the defense with 10 digs and five aces.

Oak Glen then topped Wheeling Central 25-19, 25-10. Brooklyn Six powered the attack with 12 kills, Martin added seven, Stewart had five and Lash recorded three. Balch tallied 26 assists. Vick had 10 digs, Kendall Six finished with six digs and Layla Skavenski had five digs.

Oak Glen is 17-7-3 and hosts Linsly on Tuesday.

Boardman 3, East Liverpool 0

BOARDMAN–East Liverpool suffered a 25-16, 25-19, 25-22 loss to Boardman on Wednesday.

The Potters are 11-4, while Boardman is 9-5.

East Liverpool hosts Indian Creek today.

For the Potters, Kendall Martin had three aces, five kills and eight assists. Presley Jones had three kills, Addie Jones four kills. Kamryn Yanni had two kills and five assists before departing in the first game due to an injury. Ava Green had eight kills. Ella Gunning had eight assists and two aces.

Boardman won the jayvee match, 25-18, 25-19. Gunning had seven assists, while Lillie White had four kills.

Boardman won the freshman match, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19. Kennedy Talbott had two aces, three kills and 11 assists. Maddie Campbell added eight kills.

West Branch 3, Carrollton 1

CARROLLTON ä West Branch defeated Carrollton in four sets Tuesday, 26-24, 25-11, 14-25, 25-23.

Junior Audrey Ring led the winners with 11 points, 10 kills, 10 blocks, 11 digs and an assist. Chloey Sanor and Kendelle Hoopes each had 10 kills. Sanor also had seven points, two aces, three assists, a block and 20 digs, while Hoopes finished with 11 points, two aces, five blocks, seven digs and an assist.

Aislyn Ring had 12 points, an ace, 18 assists and nine digs. Abigail Janosik added 11 kills, six blocks, six digs and five points. Madilyn Hoopes had five kills, eight blocks and three digs, while Cailyn Fritz contributed three kills, five blocks and two digs. Neely Gruver recorded five points and nine digs, and Sydney Lane had three digs and an assist.

West Branch also won the junior varsity match in three sets, 25-21, 15-25, 25-17.

West Branch hosts Salem today.
