Garyn Rohm tallied with 30 seconds left, while Karlie Sampson added on with nine seconds left in the Quakers 2-0 win.

GARRETTSVILLE — Crestview’s girls soccer team tied Garfield 2-2 on Monday to open the season.
Sydni Kiehl and Isabella Novak scored for the Rebels. Delaney Hively added an assist.

CANFIELD — West Branch’s girls soccer team defeated Canfield 1-0 on Monday.
Carly Looper scored for the Warriors on an assist from Audrey Eaton. Eaton added two saves in goal.

Natalie Shipley scored a goal on an assist by Bella Thompson for the Eagles. Cheyenne Chuck had a save.

Liberty 0
EAST PALESTINE — East Palestine opened its volleyball season with a straight-set win over Liberty, 25-12, 26-24, 25-15, on Monday.
Freshman Destiney Burtyk led the Bulldogs (1-0) with 15 kills, seven points, four digs and three aces. Cami Kridler added 15 assists, 10 digs and five points, while Marley Blythe chipped in six kills, 14 points and four digs. Amara Wilson also had a strong match with eight kills, nine digs and eight points.
Liberty (1-1) was led by Kiera Thigpen with seven points.
East Palestine also won the junior varsity match 25-14, 25-13 behind Cadence Vargo’s 14 points and seven aces and Miranda Perkins’ 10 points and three aces. Rowen Cox paced Liberty with seven points.
United 3, Alliance 0
HANOVERTON — United’s volleyball team secured a 25-16, 25-10, 25-20 win over Alliance on Monday.
Kendall Erb had five kills for the Eagles, while Maelee Smith added nine kills and three blocks. Sophie Battaglini had 11 points.
Scarlett Courtney had seven points and three aces in United’s 25-13, 25-11 jayvee win. Ellie Kiko added nine points and three aces.
Cresview frosh
AUSTINTOWN — The Crestview freshmen volleyball team fell in two sets at Austintown Fitch on Monday, 25-14, 25-20.
Addison Finch led the Rebels with five points, three aces, three kills and five digs. Piper Harvey added seven digs and one kill.
Crestview returns to action Wednesday at East Liverpool.

LOUISVILLE — Louisville defeated West Branch 4-1 in girls tennis on Monday. The Leopards swept singles play and first doubles, while West Branch’s second doubles team of Addison Bloor and Landry Simon earned the Warriors’ lone win in a tight two-set match.
