Columbiana 164, East Liverpool 172

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s boys golf team posted a 164-172 win over East Liverpool on Thursday at Valley.

For the Clippers, Luke Stuharik had a 39, Nick Klindworth 40, Trenton Hall 42 and Roman Sanfrey 43.

For the Potters, Cooper Klein had a 40, Donovan Shallcross 42, Garrett Cooper 43 and Kam Engle 47.

Columbiana is 10-2 and will play Cardinal Mooney Monday at Mill Creek.

Beaver Local 152, Indian Creek 169

CALCUTTA — Beaver Local’s boys golf team earned a 152-169 victory over Indian Creek on Thursday at Beaver Meadows.

Mikey Druschel and Andre Wiegand shared low-medalist honors for the Beavers with matching 37s. Britton Hickman added a 38, while Owen Hill and Braxton Hickman each shot 40. Nathan Pusateri rounded out the scoring with a 43.

Beaver Local improves to 8-1 on the season.

The Beavers return to action Tuesday at Belmont Country Club for the second round of the Buckeye 8. The Beavers currently sit in first place, holding a one-stroke advantage over St. Clairsville.

Minerva 176, West Branch 181

BELOIT –Minerva’s girls golf team remained perfect on the season with a 176-181 win over West Branch on Thursday at Westville Lake.

Minerva is 12-0 overall and 6-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

The Lions were paced by freshman Emery Sell with a 37, followed by sophomore Peyton Beaumariage’s 41. Senior Mady Bartley carded a 48, and junior Delaney Sell added a 50 to round out the scoring.

West Branch was led by Isabella Linger with a 39. Emma McLaughlin shot 45, Katelyn Schank 47 and Erin Albert 50.

Minerva returns to action Aug. 27 at Great Trail for a rematch with West Branch.

LaBrae 207, Crestview 217

NEGLEY — LaBrae defeated Crestview’s girls golf team 207-217 on Thursday at the East Palestine Country Club.

For Crestview, Elaina Louk had a 48, Ally Farley 48, Maye Miller 55 and Dessa Huston 66.
