Columbiana 169, Southern 212

COLUMBIANA — Claire Banner tied the school’s 9-hole scoring record with a 2-under-par 35 to lead Columbiana to a 169-212 win over Southern on Wednesday at Valley Golf Course. The Clippers improve to 5-0 on the season.

Victoria Buckingham and Alyssa Kakavros each shot 44, while Ashlynn Day added a 46 to round out the scoring for Columbiana.

Southern was led by Lola Perfetto with a 49. Kaitlyn Boston and Rylee Digman each carded 53, and Alyssa Deeley followed with a 57.

Columbiana will compete in the Flamingo Frenzy on Tuesday at Ridgewood Country Club.

Champion 190, Crestview 228

EAST PALESTINE — Champion defeated Crestview 190-228 in girls golf action Tuesday at East Palestine Country Club.

Champion was led by Avery Robinette, who earned medalist honors with a 35. Leah Hendrick followed with a 46, Hannah Pitts carded a 51 and Emma Hagman added a 58 to round out the top four scores for the Flashes.

Crestview’s low score came from Elaina Louk with a 49. Maye Miller shot 55, Alley Farley added a 57 and Meya Miller posted a 67.

Beaver Local 161, Columbiana 170

CALCUTTA — Beaver Local’s boys golf team stayed unbeaten with a 161-170 win over Columbiana on Thursday at Turkana Golf Course.

Owen Hill led the way with a low medalist score of 39. Andre Wiegand shot 40, Braxton Hickman and Nathan Pusateri each carded 41.

Beaver Local is now 4-0 on the season. The Beavers will play in the first round of the Buckeye 8 tournament on Monday at Cadiz Country Club.

Minerva sets record

ZANESVILLE — Minerva’s girls golf team broke the school’s 18-hole record by finishing third with a 339 on Thursday at a tournament at Eaglesticks.

For Minerva, Peyton Beaumariage was fifth with a 74. Emery Sell was 11th with an 80. Mady Bartley had a 90 and Delaney Sell had a 95.

EL Christian 191, Wellsville 229

EAST LIVERPOOL– East Liverpool Christian School defeated Wellsville 191-229 on Thursday at Historic Highlands.

Levi Williams and Noah Williams led East Liverpool Christian with matching scores of 41. Lucas Balser added 54 and Landon Kelly shot 55.

Wellsville’s top scorers were Darnell Roe and Cooper Frank, each shooting 50. Nate Cline carded 60 and Danny Allen had 69.

The teams will meet again Monday at Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course in a quad match that also includes Oak Glen and Toronto.
