COLUMBIANA — Lainy Auer had 18 kills and six digs as Crestview clobbered Liberty, 25-11, 25-8, 25-11, Monday to capture its 64th straight win on its home floor.

Sophia Stewart added 25 assists and five aces. Sophia Dattilio had five kills. Sarah Hively added four kills. Val Boyd had seven digs. Kerrigan Miller was sharp on the serve with seven aces.

Crestview is 3-0 and 2-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Grey Division.

The Rebels were only leading 10-7 in the first game when Laney Boano served five straight points as Crestview took command. Miller served out the first game and used her serve in the second game as the Rebels scored 10 straight points to take a 15-4 lead. Bella Ciapala had two kills to put the Rebels ahead 22-7 in the second game.

Crestview also won the jayvee match, 25-8, 25-7. Crestview was led by Kelsey Houp’s six aces. Lilly Lipply added four kills and an ace.

The Rebels are at Ravenna Southeast today.

Heartland 3, Southern 1

COLUMBIANA — Heartland Christian overcame Southern Local with a 25-21, 25-15, 24-26, 25-16 win on Monday.

Heartland is 4-2, while Southern drops to 1-3.

For the Lions, Maddie Neville had 12 kills, 13 digs and two aces. Claire Liposky added 15 kills, 25 digs and an ace. Makenna Wilson had 19 assists, 22 digs and an ace. Keagan Pruitt had eight kills, 14 digs and five aces.

Haylee Kellogg totaled 18 points and 17 assists and Katie Kellogg had 18 kills for the Indians. Allyssa Shroades had 15 assists and four kills, Kiah Sloan four kills and three blocks, Natalia Lopez six points and three kills, Kalayah Crute three kills and two blocks and Brooke Boyle seven digs.

Southern won the junior varsity match, 25-18, 14-25, 25-22, as Mary Beadnell served 13 points and Emerson Gotschall nine points.

Beaver Local 3, Indian Creek 0

WINTERSVILLE –Beaver Local’s varsity volleyball team swept Indian Creek 25-8, 25-19, 25-17 Monday.

For the Beavers (3-0), Lily Schrieber had nine kills, five aces and 12 digs, while Eva McKnight added 12 kills. Giada Williams had eight kills and two blocks, Sydney McNear six kills and two digs, and Karsyn Bowyer added two kills and four digs. Bria Boyd contributed two kills, 34 assists, six aces and five digs, and Addie Thurik had three kills. Perri Gilson added eight digs.

The junior varsity opened the night with a 25-9, 25-16 win. Madison Poppelriter led with seven kills, Macie Bourne had five, Sophia Gibson added four kills, two assists, two aces and four digs, and Leah Schrieber had three kills, 15 assists, five aces and two digs.

Beaver Local hosts Harrison Central on Thursday. The match against Brooke originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Sept. 25.

East Liverpool 3, Harrison Central 0

CADIZ — East Liverpool made short work of Harrison Central with a 25-7, 25-12, 25-7 win over the Huskies on Monday.

For the Potters (2-1), Kamryn Yanni had an ace, three kills and 29 assists. Presley Jones had three aces and five kills. Lillie White chipped in two kills. Kendall Martin had nine kills and two aces. Ava Green had 13 kills and an ace. Hailey Board had four aces and four kills. Ayla Riggle had 10 digs.

In jayvee action, the Potters won 25-16, 25-14. Ella Gunning had nine assists, while Addie Smith had six kills. Peyton Tanner had four kills and five assists. Coli Spencer had nine aces.

The jayvees are 3-0.

The Potters host Buckeye Local starting with a 6 p.m. jayvee match on Thursday.

Country Roads Classic

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen powered its way through a 12-team field to win the Country Roads Classic on Saturday, closing with a three-set victory over Herbert Hoover in the championship match.

The Golden Bears dropped the opening set, 25-21, before rallying to take the next two, 25-22 and 15-11. Averi Martin led the attack with 11 kills, while Brooklyn Six added nine and Haylee Stewart seven. Setter Mikalyn Balch controlled the offense with 30 assists to go with eight digs. Ellie Smith and Kendall Vick each chipped in six digs, and Brayley Lash contributed six kills.

Oak Glen (6-0) swept its way through pool play earlier in the day. The Golden Bears beat Wheeling Park 25-22, 25-11 behind Martin’s nine kills and three aces. Six added seven kills, while Balch tallied 20 assists and Keira Vick collected eight digs.

Against East Fairmont, Oak Glen cruised 25-11, 25-7. Martin had 10 kills and Lash added five. Brooklyn Six and Stewart had two kills apiece, and Balch handed out 17 assists. Kendall Six and Brooklyn Six led the defense with five digs and five aces, respectively.

The Golden Bears rolled Williamstown 25-8, 25-9 to close pool play. Martin posted eight kills, Six had six, Stewart five, and Mattie Carney three. Balch tallied 15 assists, while Vick and Kendall Six combined for 11 digs. Smith added three aces.

In the gold bracket, Oak Glen defeated Williamstown again, 25-13, 25-13. Martin paced the offense with 11 kills, while Lash and Six combined for nine more. Balch finished with 19 assists, and Kendall Six and Smith recorded 11 digs between them.

The Bears then beat John Marshall 25-22, 25-16. Six had eight kills, Lash seven, Martin five and Carney three. Balch dished out 25 assists, and Vick posted eight digs. Lash also added three blocks.
