BETHANY, W.Va. -- Riley Felton, a 2019 Southern Local High School graduate, was recently named the head volleyball coach at Bethany College.

Felton, 23, becomes the youngest head coach in any sport in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and one of the youngest NCAA head coaches nationally. She spent the 2024 season as an assistant for the Bison after graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2023 and a master's in education in 2025.

A four-time All-PAC middle blocker and three-year captain, Felton helped lead Bethany to two PAC titles, including a 2023 tournament MVP performance. She ranks sixth in program history in assisted blocks and was named Bethany's PAC Scholar-Athlete and an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in 2023.

"I am incredibly honored to step into the role of head women's volleyball coach at Bethany College--a place I proudly call home," said Felton. "As a former student-athlete and assistant coach, our program has shaped me in countless ways, both personally and professionally. I'm deeply committed to building on its legacy and am dedicated to contributing to the continued success of the institution. I'm excited to lead a team that embodies pride, passion and competitive excellence!"

Felton is the daughter of Stan Felton and Jennfier Weston.
