Devils edge Tigers

WELLSVILLE -- Lisbon scored two runs in seventh inning to top Wellsville 11-9 on Monday at Hammond Park.

Brooklyn Dailey had a double, single and three RBIs for the Devils. Emelia Cook added a hit and two RBIs. Sofia Brown had a double.

Kamryn Peruchetti got the win with nine strikeouts and a walk in seven innings for Lisbon 7-11, 2-5 in the EOAC.

For Wellsville (6-10, 2-9 in the EOAC), Rylee Brown, Makayla Landess, Madelyn Landess and Aleena Owens had doubles.

Makayla Landess had four hits. Presley Stokes went 2-for-4.

Madelyn Landess took the loss with four strikeouts and six walks in four innings.

Lisbon hosts Wellsville on Wednesday.

Columbiana 12,Southern 2

COLUMBIANA -- Maryn Hepler had two doubles, a single and three RBIs from her lead-off position as Columbiana tagged Southern 12-2 in six innings on Monday.

Ella Dota added two doubles and two RBIs. Aliva Bell had two hits and two RBIs as well.

Addison Brode was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and three walks.

For Southern, Raelea Carosiello had a home run, single and an RBI.

Addy Martin was the losing pitcher with a strikeout and five walks.

Columbiana is 14-5 and 8-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. Southern is 6-7 and 5-2 in the EOAC.

Southern hosts East Palestine today, while Columbiana is at Southern on Wednesday.

sweeps Leetonia

LEETONIA --United grabbed a pair of wins over Leetonia on Monday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference softball action.

In the first game, United posted a 18-5 win in three innings. Callie Koons had a hit and three RBIs for the Eagles. Chloe Angelo had a double as did Grace Coffee. Payten Kekel was the winning pitcher with three strikeouts and nine walks. She did not allow a hit.

Carli Simms was the losing pitcher with 11 walks and no strikeouts in two inngs.

In the second game, the Eagles rolled 14-1 in four innings. Brittany Miller had two hits and two RBIs for the winners, while Ella Mobley had a hit and four RBIs.

Jillian Dietrich struck out eight in four innings for the winners.

Payton Gray had a hit and RBI for Leetonia. Audrey Ellis-Russell was the losing pitcher with two strikeouts and nine walks.

United (15-4 and 8-1 in the EOAC) is at Columbiana Thursday.

Leetonia (0-12) hosts Malvern today.

Salem 22, Struthers 3

STRUTHERS -- Salem scored 11 runs in the first inning to destroy Struthers 22-3 in five innings on Monday in softball action.

Hadley Carlisle had four hits and three RBIs for the Quakers. Channing Toy had three RBIs, while Kassidy Swanson went 2-for-2. Sophie Maniscalco had two hits and three RBIs. Aniya Jones had two hits and three RBIs.

Morgane Blaine got the win with eight strikeouts.

Salem (8-10-1) hosts Minerva today.

Garfield 6, Crestview 4

COLUMBIANA--Garfield used only six hits to down Crestview 6-4 on Monday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Grey Division play.

Lainey Milhoan had a home run and three RBIs for the winners. Brenna Figley added a double.

Emma Snyder was the winning pitcher with three strikeouts and three walks in five innings.

Crestview (10-7-1 and 6-4-1 in the MVAC) is at Garfield today.

Jackson 11, West Branch 10

MASSILLON -- Massillon Jackson scored seven runs in the fourth inning to dump West Branch 11-10 on Monday in softball action.

Mati Hawk had a home run, two singles and four RBIs for the Warriors. Klary McKay had three hits including a double and three RBIs. Zoee Metzgar had two hits and two RBIs.

Ellie Tucker took the loss with three strikeouts and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.

West Branch (12-4) is at Marlington today.

EAST LIVERPOOL --Youngstown Chaney squeaked out an 8-7 win over East Liverpool on Monday at Patterson Field.
