First win for Tigers
WELLSVILLE — Wellsville rallied from deficits of 7-0 and 15-7 with a 12-run fifth inning to beat Steubenville Catholic Central, 22-17, in a slugfest Friday.
Rylee Brown went 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead the Tigers.
Madelyn Landess earned the first win of the season for the Tigers, scattering seven hits and put the game away with a scoreless seventh inning.
Wellsville (1-1) will host Columbiana on Tuesday.

Columbiana drops two
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Columbiana’s softball team was swept in two contests against Pennsylvania teams on Friday at the Ripken Experience.
The Clippers lost 5-2 to West Greene. Ella Dota had a single and double for the Clippers who had four total hits.
Caitlynn Pleska took the loss with two strikeouts and two walks over 3 2/3 innings.
Chartiers-Houston from the Pittsburgh area downed the Clippers 6-3.
Pleska had a triple and RBI, while Dota had a double and RBI.
Addison Brode took the loss with five strikeouts and no walks in six innings.
Columbiana (3-2) hosts East Palestine on Monday.

Edison 14, East Liverpool 4
RICHMOND–Edison stung East Liverpool with 14 hits in a 14-4 rout on Friday.
Pearson had two doubles and two RBIs for the Potters. Cate Davis added a double, single and two RBIs. Addie Jones had a double and Cheyenna Taggart had two hits.
Davis took the loss with four strikeouts and six walks in four innings.
East Liverpool (2-2) hosts Union Local on Saturday for two games.

Oak Glen 7, Harrison Central 1
CADIZ — Oak Glen scored five times in the seventh to push past Harrison Central 7-1 on Friday.
Riley Bruce had two hits and an RBI for the Bears, 4-3. Maddie Murray added two hits and an RBI. Macy Hartung had a double and an RBI. Addie Smith and Mattie Carney had a hit and two RBIs each.
Danica Holden was the winning pitcher with two strikeouts and no walks over two innings.
Oak Glen hosts Tyler on Saturday.
