HANOVERTON — United’s girls soccer team moved on to the Div. V districts with a 4-0 win over Bristol on Thursday.

Elli Powers led the winners with four goals. Grace Coffee and Kiley Heatherington had two assists each. Cheyenne Chuck had eight saves in goal.

No. 19 seeded United (10-8) will travel to No. 4 seed Champion at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for a district semifinal.

Champion beat 43rd-seeded Wellington, 10-0, Thursday.

Bristol (5-12-1) was the 29th seed.

Columbiana 8, St. Thomas 0

COLUMBIANA — No. 12 seed Columbiana bested No. 39 seed St. Thomas Aquinas 8-0 on Thursday in a Div. V sectional girls sectional contest.

The Clippers advance to host No. 26 seed Elyria Open Door on Tuesday in a district semifinal.

Camille Jeffries and Annah Clemmer had three goals each for the Clippers, 10-4-3.

Smithville 5, Crestview 0

SMITHVILE — No. 17 seed Smithville topped No. 25 seed Crestview 5-0 on Thursday in a Div. V sectional girls soccer contest.

Smithville moves on to host No. 20 seed Springfield on Tuesday in the district semifinal.

Springfield upset No. 6 seed Waterloo with a 3-2 victory in two overtimes on Thursday.

Katie MacKay had 10 saves in goal for Crestview, 6-8-2.
