CALCUTTA -- Owen Hill scored 22 points in leading Beaver Local past Brooke, 67-33, in boys basketball action Thursday.
The Beavers won for the second time in six games to improve to 7-9. The Bruins drop to 8-5.
Beaver Local jumped out to a 36-18 halftime lead with Austin Cline scoring nine of his 11 points.
Luke Rettos added eight points.
Brooke won the junior varsity game, 58-44. Matt Anderson scored 14 points for the Beavers.
Beaver Local will play Bellaire in a Buckeye 8 placement game at noon Saturday at Indian Creek.
