COLUMBIANA -- Columbiana stands alone at the top of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference after a 46-22 win over Wellsville on Monday.
Ellie Venezia powered the Clippers with 11 points, while Taylor Long added 10 points.
Columbiana is 5-0 and 4-0 in the league. Southern's upset over United on Monday moved the Clippers into sole possession of first place. Columbiana is at Valley on Thursday and will have a chance to add some significant distance between it and the pack when it travels to United next Monday to complete the first round of EOAC games.
The Tigers (4-2, 2-2) were led by Sam Drysdale's seven points.
Wellsville is at United on Thursday.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Lisbon's girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season by topping Valley Christian 56-23 on Monday.
Morgan Lively had 23 points, 13 rebounds, five steals and five blocks for the Devils, 1-5, 1-3. Jayden Smyth added 10 points, six rebounds and six steals. Brooklyn Cousins had seven assists.
Lisbon won the two quarter jayvee game, 16-10. Jayden Smyth had eight points for Lisbon.
Lisbon hosts Leetonia on Thursday. It will start with an eighth-grade game at 5 with the varsity to follow.

LEETONIA -- East Palestine dominated Leetonia 40-10 on Monday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
For the Bulldogs, Leila Martin had 14 points, while Gabby Andre added nine points.
East Palestine is 4-2 and 1-2 in the league. Leetonia is 0-5, 0-3.
East Palestine hosts Southern on Thursday, while Leetonia is at Lisbon.

COLUMBIANA -- Addison Rhodes and Luvrain Gaskins had double-doubles and freshman point guard Brianna DiCross dished out 10 assists in leading Crestview past Campbell Memorial, 63-5, Monday.
Rhodes totaled a game-high 22 points, 12 rebounds and six steals and Gaskins had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Emily Downey also had seven assists and four steals and DiCross added four steals.
The Rebels --who led 18-0 in the first quarter and 37-2 at halftime -- improve to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the MVAC Grey Tier. The Red Devils are 1-4, which includes a win over Sebring.
Crestview won the two-quarter junior varsity game, 26-5, as Phiatra Bradley scored seven points.
The Rebels will play at Brookfield on Thursday.
