BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Geneva College sophomore quarterback and United High School graduate Brutus Ogilvie received another weekly award on Monday after his strong performance at Thiel on Saturday.
The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named him the Offensive Player of the Week, the second time he has received this award this season.
Ogilvie led Geneva to a 57-20 victory over Thiel, the most points the Golden Tornadoes have scored since they defeated Olivet Nazarene 77-14 in 2001.
He completed 4-of-7 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing nine times for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
On the season, Ogilvie has passed for 1,194 yards and eight touchdowns, against just two interceptions. He's also rushed for 423 yards and seven touchdowns.
He is the first Geneva quarterback to surpass 1,000 yards passing since the Golden Tornadoes moved to the triple option attack six seasons ago.
Ogilvie and his teammates will wrap up their season at 1 p.m. Saturday when Geneva hosts Westminster at Reeves Stadium.
