Turkey Trot coming up

EAST LIVERPOOL -- The Ohio Valley Turkey Trot 5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run will take place at 9 a.m. on Nov. 24 at the Broadway Wharf.

The starting line is the East Liverpool Broadway Wharf. The course runs down River Road with a slight left on State Street, right on Maple Street, right on Kent Street, right on Beleek Street and back to the wharf via State Street and River Road.

Water and snacks will be provided at The Wharf. All the information for participating, sponsoring and volunteering is at ovturkeytrot.com

Practice MX at Bull Run

ROGERS -- Bull Run Raceway will hold the grand opening of its motocross track from Oct. 24 to Oct. 29. From 2 p.m. to dusk on Monday and Wednesday, motocross training will be held and will cost $20 per student.

On Tuesday and Thursday, open practice will run from 2 p.m. to dusk (bikes only) on the main and peewee tracks. Cost is $20 per rider.

On Friday, quads will be run on the main track from $20 per rider.

On Saturday, open practice for bikes only will run from 11 a.m. to dusk on the main and peewee tracks. Cost is $30 per rider.

Concealed carry class scheduled

CHESTER, W.Va. -- The Chester-Newell Sportsmen's Club will hold a concealed carry class at 9 a.m. on Oct. 29. Cost is $75. Class is good for West Virginia and Ohio.

Hunter education class offered

Cardinals intercept Saints

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Marco Wilson and Isaiah Simmons scored touchdowns on two pick-6s late in the first half and used that stunning change in momentum to lift the Arizona Cardinals over the New Orleans Saints 42-34 on Thursday night.

The Cardinals (3-4) snapped an eight-game home losing streak that was the franchise's longest since 1958.
