COLUMBIANA--The Crestview volleyball team beat Brookfield 25-14, 25-8, 25-12 on Tuesday.
For the Rebels, Abbey Emch had 14 kills, six digs, two blocks and two aces. Grace Auer recorded 15 points, 13 assists, nine kills, four digs and four aces. Alaina Auer had 10 kills, ten digs, four kills, three aces and a block. Madalyn Black added two kills and a block, and Madison Davis had two blocks and two kills.
Brookfield falls to 4-1.
Crestview (3-0) will play Newton Falls on the road on Thursday.
Crestview's jayvee team topped Brookfield 25-19, 25-22. Lydia Campbell had four kills. Natalie Blakeman had nine digs.
United 3, Lisbon 2
LISBON -- United got on the winning track by outlasting Lisbon, 24-26, 29-27, 22-25, 25-14, 17-15, in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play Tuesday.
Grace Knight powered the Eagles with 21 kills, five aces and 17 digs. Zoee Smith totaled 12 kills and 17 digs and Madison Cope had 32 digs.
For Lisbon, Eliza Baker had 19 points, 15 kills, nine aces and 20 digs. Stefanee Stacey had 17 points and 36 assists. Cami Freeland had 15 kills and Izzy Lannon 17 digs.
Lisbon (1-3) is at East Palestine on Thursday.
The Eagles improve to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the EOAC. They will host Valley Christian on Thursday.
Lisbon won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-18. Hannah Weems had 12 points.
Columbiana 3, East Palestine 0
COLUMBIANA -- Columbiana's volleyball team scored a 25-21, 25-19, 25-21 victory over East Palestine on Tuesday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
For Columbiana (3-1, 3-0 in the EOAC) Ellie Jackson had 22 assists, 10 kills, 18 digs and seven points. Cameron Perkins had eight kills, 13 assists and 13 digs. Kelsey Cameron had seven kills, 15 digs and seven points. Ava Heinrich had 20 digs, eight kills and six points. Maryn Hepler had seven digs, three kills and three points.
For East Palestine, Mia Lee had four aces, one aces and eight kills. Gabby Andre had eight points, three aces and six assists.
MacKenzie Parker had seven points and seven assists.
Columbiana won the jayvee match, 25-10, 25-17. Maria Malcolmson had four kills and four aces for the winners. Megan Moser added three kills and four points. Jordan Herstine had three points for the Bulldogs.
East Palestine hosts Heartland today. Columbiana is at Southern on Thursday.
Southern 3, Leetonia 0
LEETONIA--The Southern volleyball team overpowered the Bears 25-21, 25-7, 25-14 on Tuesday.
For the Indians, Ashley Shroades had 24 points, 10 kills and four aces. Rylee Mellott recorded 30 assists. Aleah Bach had nine points with six kills, and Esther Forbes had eight points with seven kills.
With the win, the varsity Indians move to 4-1 on the season.
Southern will host Columbiana on Thursday.
The jayvee Indians also won 25-14, 25-13.
For the Indians, Gigi Rodgers had 13 points and five aces. Allyssa Shroades had seven points. Haylee Kellogg had two kills. Cheyenne Bennett had six assists.
The win moves the jayvee Indians to 4-0.
Wellsville 3, Valley 0
YOUNGSTOWN -- It was a quick trip for the Wellsville volleyball team as it downed Valley Christian 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 on Tuesday.
Presley Stokes led the assault with 15 kills and five assists. Alana Amato had eight kills and six aces. Brooke Hackney had eight kills and two aces. Bella Poppelriter had three kills, five aces and 19 assists. Aubri Ramsey had five aces and 10 digs.
Wellsville is 3-1 and 3-0 in the EOAC and will host Leetonia today.
Wellsville's jayvees were also winners and improve to 3-1.
Salem 3, Alliance 1
SALEM -- Salem won its second straight match 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 28-26 over Alliance on Tuesday.
For Salem, Zoie Reid had seven aces and 12 kills. Elena Colarossi had seven aces and 34 assists. Kaylee Johnson had four kills.
Salem's jayvees won 25-16, 26-24. Ashlyn Green had eight kills and three aces. Brooke Zamarelli added nine assists.
West Branch 3, Minerva 0
BELOIT -- The West Branch volleyball team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 25-15, 25-23, 25-18 win over Minerva in an Eastern Buckeye Conference opener Tuesday.
Leading the Warriors was Mikalyn Fitts12 points, fie aces, six kills and seven blocks; Adele Peters 14 points, seven aces and five kills; Olivia Showalter five kills; Hanna Rush nine assists and Ragan Greeneisen 10 digs.
The Warriors will play at Marlington on Thursday night.
Jefferson 3, South Range 0
JEFFERSON -- Jefferson knocked off South Range 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 on Tuesday.
For the Raiders, Maria Primavera had eight kills and 10 digs. Jamie Feren had 11 assists and 14 digs. Madison Dado had five kills and 13 digs.
Oak Glen 3, Blackhawk 0
CHIPPEWA, Pa. -- Oak Glen went over the border to down Blackhawk (Pa.) 25-21, 25-15, 25-8 on Tuesday.
Oak Glen's Sydney Smith had 12 digs, while Ashlyn Six added 15 kills and three aces. McKenzi Martin had 14 kills. Jersey Smith had 30 assists and eight digs.
The Golden Bears jayvees won 25-18, 25-13. Brooklyn Six had five kills. Haylee Stewart had three kills and two blocks. Bailey Ash had 10 digs. Kensington McConnachie had nine assists and four digs.
