Dailey stars at OVAC

ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- As snow began to cover the turf of Red Devils Stadium on Sunday, soccer stars enjoyed one last chance to shine.

In the girls OVAC All-Star Game, West Virginia rolled to an 11-2 victory over Ohio but the Buckeye state got even in the boys match with a 3-2 triumph.

St. Clairsville's Jesse Brannan delivered Ohio's first goal of the match and also assisted on Utter's netter.

East Liverpool's Cole Dailey was Ohio's Defensive Player of the Game.

For West Virginia, Oak Glen's Andrew Giambroni collected the first goal and Wheeling Central standout Austin Nestor gave the Mountaineers the lead with 9 minutes to play before Ohio's late-game heroics.

Wheeling Park's Taylor McFarland was named West Virginia's Defensive Player of the Game.
