Remish plays for The Rock
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.-- After going 9-2, Slippery Rock University football is ready for a new challenge in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
The Rock will visit No. 6 Notre Dame College (Ohio) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Slippery Rock beat the Falcons in the second round of the 2019 playoffs, 65-59. The Rock had their 2020 season canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Slippery Rock is holding opponents to less than 20 points per game this season. South Range graduate Peyton Remish is seventh on the team in tackles with 37. The redshirt sophomore has one interception, which he returned 26 yards for a touchdown, and half a sack as well.
Remish, a linebacker for The Rock, posted a career-high eight tackles in a game against Wayne State in 2019. He did have six tackles and a sack against Millersville later that season.
Remish was a four-time letter winner at South Range where he captured all-state honors.
