Beaver Local pins competition

CAMBRIDGE — Beaver Local came away with a sizable victory on Saturday at the Cambridge Invitational.

The Beavers scored 318.5 points to dominate the field. Minerva was second with 203.5 points, while West Branch was third with 195.

Winning titles for Beaver were Logan Ours (126), Cole McComas (132) and Skyler Lasure (145), Logan Krulik (152), Brenden Severs (160) and Beau Smith (170).

“This is always a great way to start the season,” Beaver Local coach Jordan Williams said. “We get to see some good competition and get a look at kids we will see in our district tournament. I’m proud of our kids, they embraced the competition and competed at a high level. These kids represented themselves, this community, and this program the right way.We have a lot of work to do to reach our goals, I feel good about these kids doing what it takes to maximize our potential. These guys are not afraid of hard work and they want to be challenged.”
