To the editor: Here we go again. Dave Johnson and his minions singing the greatness of a loser like Donald Trump Jr. His daddy was the worst president this country had ever seen and that includes George W. Bush. Norfolk Southern should be buying residential properties

To the editor: It is a common understanding in the retail industry that “if you break it, you buy it.” That same principle applies to a community destroyed by a reckless corporation as well as a community broken by a careless customer. ‘Pennies for Paws’ helps Humane Society

To the editor: A million. Pretty big number. Even a half-million! But that is how many pennies our wonderful elementary students of Columbiana County collected for the Humane Society in the first annual ‘Pennies for Paws” last year. By the way, $5,000, if you’re still moving the decimal point. This year’s drive is up and running and we’re hoping for even more. Ban enacted on private property owners is restrictive

To the editor: At the recent public hearing held by the Columbiana County Commissioners regarding a ban on construction of large solar facilities and large wind farms in the unincorporated parts of seven townships in the county, Commissioner Weigle brought up my longtime support of the work of Western Reserve Land Conservancy. He stated that 898 acres of land in the county is controlled by the Conservancy and that solar panels cannot be placed on that land. That statement is very true.
