Thanks to East Liverpool City Hospital workers
To the editor:
To the people of East Liverpool City Hospital who have served our family honorably for nearly 60 years,
I want to take this public opportunity to issue a heartfelt thank you for all the times you have graciously, valiantly and patiently helped my family in our hours of need.
From the birth of my sister to the deaths of my grandparents and more recently with struggles with the health of my mother and father, most of the time, we have been treated with care and respect and I am thankful for your help.
Unfortunately we will not be coming to City Hospital any longer because of the ending of relationships with our insurance companies. We were very unhappy to learn of these changes. But because the insurances are parts of our group policies we have no choice but to look for our hospital care elsewhere.
In these days of hospitals failing and closing, it is hard to see the economic advantage of ending the relationships with at least two-thirds of the city’s population. It makes one wonder if that is indeed the goal of the Prime Hospitals network?
If they are organizing to close this hospital, I wish the best of luck to those gracious people who work there and pray they can find work nearby soon.
Thank you again and good bye
Jan Toot,
East Liverpool
