Voters in the Beaver Local School District will see a renewal levy on the Nov 7 ballot that is critical to maintaining current programs and operations. It does not increase taxes.
The 3.35-mill emergency operating levy would generate $1.2 million annually for five years. These funds are used for day-to-day operations, including transportation, personnel, utilities and supplies.
Without these monies, the district would need to make drastic changes, including reductions in programs and staffing.
Supporting your local schools is a worthy investment that builds strong communities now and in the future.

To the editor:
I am asking for the voters of the Beaver Local School District to please vote "yes" for the renewal levy on Nov. 7th. This levy has been in effect since 1994 and will not increase your taxes. The levy provides for our day to day operations and materials that are used to run the school.
I am a proud member of this community and feel providing the best education is a responsibility that we all can share. I had two stepchildren attend Beaver Local and they received a quality education from an excellent staff that cared and truly made lasting, personal relationships. We need to keep this environment intact and continue to provide our children with the best education possible. The continued support of this levy enables us to provide smaller class sizes along with a variety of class offerings which provide huge advantages to a students' success.
Our graduates will be going out into a very diverse world with ever changing technology. The challenges they will face are going to be endless and demanding. Supporting this levy will give the students of this community the resources and tools to be ready for any obstacle.
In closing, please feel free to reach out to board members or administration if you have any concerns. Let's keep a good thing going. Hope to see you at the polls on Nov 7th for a "YES" vote on the Emergency Renewal Levy and "Go Beavers!"
