To the editor:
I am writing on behalf of those that we have lost and in hopes of securing a peaceful and safe resting place for our loved ones at the Lisbon Cemetery in the future.
Having lived here all my life and experiencing the loss of many friends and family over the years, it gives me peace of mind knowing their memories will not be forgotten. It makes me proud to have one of the nicest final resting places when that time is upon us.
It seems that it is getting harder and harder these days to take care of the cemetery grounds with the increasing costs for personnel, equipment, etc. I encourage the residents of Lisbon to help make this possible to assure that families can continue to visit their loved ones while surrounded by the beauty of this cemetery that welcomes everyone. You can make this possible by voting for the upcoming cemetery levy next month.
Let's make this happen Lisbon.
