To the editor:
I had no intentions of writing anything on this year's 9-11 anniversary. But on August 24 -- Cathy's birthday -- I got to thinking: did they die in vain? I never really gave the idea much thought. But over the years I've watched the country they died for quickly disappear!
In 2016, Donald Trump was elected president. But even before he was sworn in as president Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the news media crucified him. They were determined to impeach him. But could not. It was a witch hunt that should have never been allowed. They trampled on the Constitution. AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING!!!
Even if Mr. Trump lost in 2020, and I am beginning to have my doubts, Joe OBiden did more damage to the country in 2 1/2 years than in the entire history of the United States.
COVID-19 was just an excuse for his "lockdown" that destroyed small businesses and our educational system (which can be the topic for another letter). His stimuli payments, that only made people NOT want to go back to work and STILL DO NOT, have given him the opportunities to destroy this country -- buying oil from Saudi Arabia (one of the countries responsible for 9-11) while shutting down our own production of shale oil. Gas and food prices keep going up.
Inflation is way out of control. You cannot go to the grocery store with less than $100 in your pocket and even then your dollars will not buy enough food. Our children and their great-great-great grandchildren will never get it paid.
All of this and more because a senile, old puppet was put in office by Obama's communist friends in Congress who have not only taken over the Congress and the rest of the federal government but some of the states, too. Their goal is to destroy -- not the country -- but our way of life and our spirit.
The reason that I changed my mind about speaking out was the article in the Morning Journal: "Biden: Trump, allies threaten democracy." So am I a threat to democracy? An 84-year-old woman who still feels this is the greatest country God has ever given to mankind? I have watched them trample on my constitutional rights and flaunt them in my face!!! I have kept silent far too long. But no more.
People in this country need to really wake up!!! About the only thing you have left to fight with is the vote!!! Do your God-given right and get out and vote this November. Your child's way of life depends on it.
If any of you sit out there and laugh at me and think that this country will never become a third world country, tell me that when your child comes home from school and reports you because you do not agree with what is being taught in school. It will happen if you do not stand up NOW!!!
This was OBiden's last desperate effort to get people to react violently. This would give him an excuse for another "crisis" for him to step in and, once again, control your life. Don't give in to violence. Prove to all the communists in the government that there are patriotic men and women who will no longer be fooled.
So Cathy, I do not think that you and all the people who died that day or those in the following wars died in vain. I believe that you died believing in this country and its people. God bless all of you and God forgive us and protect us. Love, Mom.
