Greetings from Men of Faith. If you are familiar with the Men's Rally in the Valley you know that we suffered a devastating blow just three months prior to the last Rally. The loss of our President, Bing Newton, put the whole organization into a tail spin.
As an organization we were in conflict. "But God" the theme for the 2022 Rally took on a whole new meaning for those of us who depended on Bing's direction. As I look back at just the last few years, I'm reminded of just how relevant the rally has been. In 2019 when we produced "An Anchor in the Storm." Little did we know of the storm that was about to hit. Covid shut down our county. As men of faith, we prayed and stood confident in that "Jesus Our Only Hope," our 2020 Rally, though delayed, would still go on. Amazingly we were one of the first events to get state approval to open. Not even Covid could stop the Rally.
For more than 2000 years people have professed their Faith in Jesus Christ. And longer still there were those who had a relationship with the Creator. Men of Faith believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and it is our mission to fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples. And what better way than to do that, than outside the walls of the church.
Men of Faith is now entering a new paradigm. We are going through a time of reorganization. The 2023 Men's Rally in the Valley needs you. Like a lot folks, I have been a part of the Rally from the beginning. Then there are those who have come on board over the years.
Like the laborers who were hired to work the field in the morning; and the men hired in the afternoon, and those who came in in the last hour, we all share the same portion of the harvest. It is important that we all be like minded. I trust that God has a plan and this is just the beginning.
A meeting will be held at the Leetonia Public Library, 181 Walnut St., Leetonia, from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022. I encourage everyone who has ever had a hand in this ministry, and anyone who is led by the Spirit, to come out in support of 2023.
