Twenty years ago, Jerry Bailey and Dale Snyder talked about doing something to help East Palestine Social Concern raise money. In 1998, the Stonemetz Golf Outing was started.
In 2014, Dale passed away and Jerry continued the project, with some help from George Montgomery. Jerry made all of the contacts for donations and hole sponsors. He spent several months getting everything ready.
Over 20 years, the Stonemetz raised $114,107 for the needy of East Palestine. Social Concern has been blessed to have two such special people take an interest in their work. There are not enough words to thank these men for their dedication and work.
Jerry is getting older and has health problems. This is his last year. Unless someone else would like to take over, the Stonemetz Golf Outing has ended.
The crew at Social Concern loves Dale and Jerry. We commend them for their help and concern for others.
