How did all this political correctness nonsense get started anyhow?
The PETA kooks are plucking lobsters from the tanks in restaurants and setting them free in the ocean. Michael Bloomberg has spent $150 million trying to shut down coal-fired power plants. Supervisors of the school lunch programs in Utah are complaining that government mandated menus are replacing mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, beans and wieners with carrot sticks, broccoli and apples, which usually end up dumped into the trash cans.
The Cleveland Indians as well as the Atlanta Braves and Washington Redskins are being pressured to change the names of their teams because they are offensive to Native Americans. A student at the University of Arizona was penalized on an English composition paper for using the word mankind. All references to humanity must be gender neutral. Our vehicles no longer have vent windows or cigarette lighters and ashtrays. Smoking is not permitted in bars or motels.

Davis had a brilliant career as a senator, a soldier and secretary of war. Beauregard's service in the Mexican War was so distinguished that he was appointed superintendent of West Point.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a movement to remove the names of the Confederate generals from our military installations such as Ft. Hood, Ft. Bragg and Ft. Jackson, and what would they rename them? Well, how about Forts Barney Frank, Al Sharpton and Hillary Clinton?
