No need for a third

Editor:

It is a shame that our history is being destroyed. History is important and should be preserved. Our whole county is rich in history and could be a busy area for travelers and history buffs bringing in tourist dollars for the county. We have a number of historical buildings and the historical facts behind them in this county.

Why are we keeping all this a secret and destroying these buildings? We need businesses in the downtown area and should capitalize on our history.

Lisbon is the county seat and should not be a ghost town. Even at Christmas time, it is the poorest decorated and lit area in the whole county, when it should be the best and brightest.

When history is destroyed, it is gone forever and what a shame. We need long-term downtown businesses with new and more types of business -- not more of the same thing.

We have a drugstore downtown and on the hill. Wake up people, we don't need a third.
