I am the executive director of the Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce and I have lived in Lisbon all my life.
I truly believe in our town and I try hard to promote it. This week I will be taking a couple of new people around who are interested in starting a new business in our historic village. We have seen many businesses come and go. We also have some businesses that have been around as long as I can remember, but we must support them. They need our business to keep them here.
We must think of Lisbon first. If you check and it's not here, then go to Boardman or wherever, but please -- give the businesses of Lisbon a chance.
We have a chamber board that is dedicated and really cares about our town. We are financially investing lots of money with the Village Council for the revitalization of downtown.
But we need you, the citizens of Lisbon, to support us. We have a great school with an excellent rating, a beautiful library, a swimming pool and parks, a community theater that is totally awesome, and gorgeous churches -- just to name a few of our blessings.
All I'm asking is for you to make Lisbon your first choice.
