Negley’s danger

1 min read

Editor:

In September a lawsuit was presented to Common Pleas Court regarding the fact that human body parts were in the debris dumped in the landfill above Negley.

Negley's source of drinking water is in a direct line below the dump. The geological drainage runs south toward the Ohio River, right through Negley. Each home in Negley has its own private well in line with the southern drainage.

Why would any organization like the Ohio EPA and the Columbiana County Heath Department permit such harmful health and environmental problems to occur? Was it the tipping fees given the two organizations?

I hope our courts and citizens see the need for direct action on this potential health and environmental problem.
