Since 1919, Americans have been celebrating a very special day on Nov. 11. Monday is Veterans Day. It is a day of acknowledgment. It is a day of utmost respect and reverence. Ohio must renew attempts for fair constitutional maps

Whether it was confusion over ballot language or truly a desire to maintain the system already in place, Ohio voters on Tuesday rejected an amendment that would have established a citizen-led commission to produce the state’s political maps. As you made your way around the house on Saturday changing clocks, watches and other devices that still require you to do so back one hour, did you remember to check the most important items in the house? Those would be your smoke detectors. The return of Eastern Standard Time represents a good reminder to check batteries in smoke detectors. Batteries need to be replaced at least once a year.
