What began as hardcore conditioning in the off season and running right into the sweat and muscle aches of summer training has paid off for a number of our area schools
The “Second Season” of the fall high school sports year is upon us.
Whether it be boys or girls soccer, volleyball, cross country or football, we wish all of our local representatives our very best as they give it their very best.
Here is a schedule of competition involving our student-athletes:
Tuesday, Oct. 28
Division IV girls soccer regional
7 p.m. at Cambridge (Beaver Local vs. Tuscarawas Valley)
If Beaver Local wins, plays at Logan on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Division V boys soccer regional
7 p.m. at Sandusky (United vs. Maumee Valley Country Day)
If United wins, plays at Clyde on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Thursday, Oct. 30
Division Volleyball regional
6 p.m. at Medina (Crestview vs. Mentor Lake Catholic)
If Crestview wins, plays at Streetsboro on Saturday, Nov. 1.
West Virginia volleyball regional
6 p.m., Tyler-Williamson winner at Oak Glen.

West Branch, Crestview, United got first-round byes.
Oak Glen is still playing in football, volleyball, girls soccer and cross country, some of that is regular season.
