Edward ‘Ed’ A. Stackpole

1969-2026

COLUMBIANA - Edward "Ed" A. Stackpole, 57, of Columbiana, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, Boardman.

He was born on April 22, 1969, in Youngstown.

Ed's life was centered around his faith, his family, and the people he loved. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a man whose faith in God guided the way he lived his life. Ed attended the First Church of Christ in East Palestine, where he served as a deacon for several years, as well as Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford, where he was a member of the prophetic prayer team. He loved attending church conferences, growing in his faith, and serving God and others wherever he was needed.

Ed was the kind of father who was always present. He could be found at all of Jordan's sporting events, not only cheering him on, but volunteering and helping wherever he could. That same love and devotion carried into his role as a grandfather. He treasured every moment he had with his grandsons, Micah and Augustus, whether he was watching them, playing with them, or simply enjoying all the little things that made each of them unique. Ed loved seeing their personalities begin to grow and shine through and looked forward to watching them become the people God created them to be. He loved people, loved talking with just about everyone he met, and was always willing to serve others wherever he was needed.

Music was another great joy in Ed's life. He loved playing guitar and singing and had recently begun learning to play the keyboard. He also treasured quieter moments, often spending time in his office reading and journaling. A proud Boardman football player from his youth through high school, Ed carried many fond memories of his years playing the game.

Perhaps no week of the year was more special to Ed than the family's annual trip to Topsail Beach, North Carolina. He loved walking the beach, searching for shark teeth and simply enjoying the time spent there with his family. Those trips, along with the many ordinary moments spent together, became some of the memories his family will treasure most.

Edward is survived by his wife, Audra Bable Stackpole, whom he married on March 26, 1994; son, Jordan (Ellen) Stackpole of Concord, Va.; two grandsons, Micah Brian Stackpole and Augustus Edward Stackpole; sister, Wanda Stackpole of Columbus; stepfather, Terry Rosine; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Jeanne Dunn of East Palestine and Brent and Jill Bable of New Waterford; mother-in-law, Beverly Bable of Columbiana; two nieces, Anna (Ryan) Reynolds of Haslet, Texas and Caitlin Bable of New Waterford; two nephews, Anthony (Jasmine Lorenzi) Mafodda of Boardman and Cody (Taylor) Bable of East Palestine; a special aunt, Toni Fisher of New Jersey; cousin, Shawn (Subha) Finnie and their son, Illan. Edward leaves behind countless other beloved people who were in his life, including aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Fiucci Rosine.
